What do you like about being on Abilify?

I’m on 2mg of Abilify as an add on to my Risperdal.
So far I like the mood elevating properties of this drug, I also like the mild stimulation I’m getting from Abilify.
I’m suffering less negative symptoms so far.
I got a lot done today.

If you are currently taking Abilify or were on it in the past, what positive aspects are you receiving from Abilify?

Nothing positive except most of my positive symptoms are absent.

I liked and disliked Abilify. I had more energy on it vs now on risperidone but I had anger issues and hypersexuality on it

Yeah so far I’m managing on it but I’m on such a low dose

Currently I’m on 5mg daily. It makes a difference to 2.5mg believe it or not.

In terms of side effects in particular

Reduced motivation.

Hair thinning.

Can’t run.

Reduced concentration.

Basically everything is a struggle compared to before but it could be worse I guess.

Abilify works the best for me. Everybody is different…. It made me figure out that I was delusional around 10 years ago. I forgot……I take 30 mgs of Abilify.

I’ve been on Abilify for about 4 years now exactly.

It’s decent. Doesn’t make me lactate for no reason like Invega did.

I find that I have more energy than when I was on Invega.

Oh and I’m on 20mg

Been on rexulti pills 1 week. Not sure how i like it yet

I like about ablify that I feel good and stable while on it.

Also it helped me a lot for living like a normal person. Other meds had way smaller effects on me. While olanzapine comparing to ablify had only ~5% effect. Maybe even less. On olanzapine I was literally a zombie.

Ablify made me stable, it helps me do everyday stuff. But, it has several side effects. Like, feeling on the edge. Very anxious

On ablify I am for 5 years I believe. From 2018 autumn or summer. Dose varies. Right now for a 7-9 months on 15mg and I don’t need any orher med, personally
