What do you know about suicidal thoughts and schizophrenia

I take diazapam regularly and that really helps take the edge off. Id be lost without it. Antidepressants dont help me, they make me more suicidal the 3 ive tried, i had to come off them

You should take these thoughts seriously and.talk to someone. Can you reach out to an advice nurse or your pdocā€™s office to.let them know how you are feeling?

I didnā€™t take suicidal thoughts seriously enough and have a stomach lining that is damaged for the rest of my life. This is too important to mess with. Please talk to someone @PikaTchu. Weā€™d like to keep you around.

Let me just say. Thoughts and urges are different. If you are having urges you need to seek help immediately. If you are having thoughts see your doctor asap as you are. Whenever you have these thoughts immediately re direct and distract yourself. If they come back right away or donā€™t go away you need to get help.

I have these thoughts periodically but still feel safe. Itā€™s when you lose control of those thoughts and you canā€™t distract yourself then you need immediate help. Have a loved one stay with you at all times and keep to your safety plan at all times. Be safe.

Good you talked here about it. I wouldnā€™t worry too much, apparently some have that kind of thing as a last item of their to do list before they die.

Even mild suicidal thoughts are hell to live with. Iā€™ve had them, several times. Maybe itā€™s a chemical imbalance, or maybe people prone to daydreaming whom reality forcefully brings back down are more likely to get these thoughts.

I remember when the movie Matrix first came out, it triggered a wave of suicide attempts.

I am prone to daydreaming as a means to escape boredom, but itā€™s better to stay anchored in the present moment and not let your mind wander too much.

These have helped me in the past:

If you are feeling suicidal or having a mental health crisis, please tell someone ā€” a friend or family member, a teacher, a doctor or therapist or call 911 (if youā€™re in the U.S.) or the Emergency Medical Services phone number in your country.

You can also call a crisis intervention hotlineā€”these are available in the U.S. and in many other countries. You do not need to be actively suicidal to benefit from a crisis hotline.

I felt the same until they finally diagnosed me with bipolar and a mood stabilizer took away over a decade of constant suicidal thoughts
