No. Maybe All antipsychotics can cause suicidal thoughts. It’s all personal trial and error.
But if you’re getting suicidal thoughts as a side effect, then you need to immediately change to another med.

No, it’s not true.
The only drug that made me depressed and sad was risperidone.
Vraylar has helped me tremendously with depression.

Clozapine is the only AP that is prescribed specifically for suicidal ideation… that’s why I’m on it. It also helps with self harm behaviors.

With fluxano are moments when I wakeup in terror, like my soul is trapped and also a feeling of dispair. So yeah that can be very intense.

I think it varies per person.
For me, every antipsychotic makes me feel depressed, zombie-like, unmotivated and suicidal. Except Abilify. But Abilify makes me more psychotic rather than less.

There’s a toll on that. I realised it makes me sleep good but I also feel is in detrimental of cognitive behaviour. I tend to forget things and I am less present.
@anon21280033 I have that zombie-robot like feeling as well from fluxonal and sometimes is way to much to bare. I also have back pains and muscle tension and tremour in the body. Not sure how long I can endure it, even thou it is once a month

Ironically I think the possibility of experiencing suicidal thoughts are higher on anti depressives, that’s just my personal opinion though.
I don’t think zyprexa has given me suicidal thoughts, however since it downregulates dopamine and serotonin it’s a short way to get depressed, so really have to avoid depression triggers.

Haldol caused me to have a lot of suicidal thoughts, but Geodon and Seroquel haven’t in the twenty years I have been on them, and they handle my symptoms well.

Abilify did some good things for me, but it got me a little too amp’ed up. I don’t think I would want to chance going on it again.

I was suicidal on risperdal because it made me impotent and I saw no future without a girlfriend…got on generic prolxin now…fluphenazine…love it love it.

I don’t think that’s true.
I’m sure it’s possible that all antipsychotics can cause suicidal thoughts, but it’s one of the less common side effects and personally I only got this side effect from one drug, Latuda. I didn’t get it on Seroquel, Geodon, or Zyprexa. I’m sure there are others who have though. These drugs are pretty random on each person with the side effects.
