Ive been suicidal since i was 15 and im 42 now.

My first two attempts was at 8 I’m now 48 I’ve also have been suicidal all the time
What has made me survive is I get to preoccupied with my own thought and this really has paralysed me

Have you spoken to your doc about these thoughts?

I used to have suicidal thoughts. Wellbutrin helped.

Have you tried that antidepressant?

It didn’t work I tried it.

I’m sorry to hear that.

I know that there are on this forum members who were suicidal for decades and then got better at an older age.

I hope you get better as well.

That’s a long time. Why have you had suicidal feelings for so long?

Don’t just see your dark patches in life, you are too blind to see the good stuff. Go to someone able to make you see.

You need to break the cycle of suicidal thoughts. It’s hard and takes time but I found it’s not as difficult as restraining angry impulses.

Clozapine helped me out with those. :duck::duck::duck:

Hey, I’m sorry. That must be real hard. I really hope you find a way to a lighter place in life. I don’t know how to help. I’m not feeling very good myself today…though it’s fluctuating more. It must be hard to feel like that always.

Is there anything at all that distracts you from these thoughts? For me, music and movies can help at times.

Sending all the well wishes I can to you.

I used to have suicidal ideation quite frequently and clozapine has greatly reduced it. I’m a little scared that the latest reduction in the meds may bring back those thoughts, but I’m self-monitoring my thoughts and feelings. I have been having the urges to self harm but I think that’s just a stress response and it will get better. I’m trying to be optimistic…

If you are feeling suicidal or having a mental health crisis, please tell someone — a friend or family member, a teacher, a doctor or therapist or call 911 (if you’re in the U.S.) or the Emergency Medical Services phone number in your country.

You can also call a crisis intervention hotline—these are available in the U.S. and in many other countries. You do not need to be actively suicidal to benefit from a crisis hotline.
