the list is endless…
Cuckoos nest
Crazy house
Madhouse
Psych ward
Mental clinic
The list goes on and on
I call it a Psych Ward.
I was in a sauna and these 2 old dudes came in and started talking about being off the reservation. Man I was out of it. The actual place I went was a mental facility.
I’m just glad I haven’t gone to one before.
It’s only bad when you go cold turkey on meds and the docs won’t prescribe you anything. I threatened to kill someone because they wouldn’t give me meds.
Yeah that would really suck. I feel if I was in one I would led a jailbreak
I’ve met a ton of people who escaped the mental facility in my assisted living facility I was in. That’s where you end up. It’s way worse than the hospital.
Nut house.
When I was a kid that’s how my Dad would answer the phone.
“Nut house, (last name) speaking”
I like “puzzle factory.”
Well, the rude answer is “the looney bin.”
Home lolol 151515
I have heard it be called “the ward” and “the looney bin”.
“Psychiatric unit.” That’s the polite, politically correction version where I am from.
“Funny farm” is the offensive version.
There’s one I call “the hallway.” You can probably guess why. It’s not laid out well.
Someone in with me called it the rotundicus, coz the hallway was a round circle and when you got out you were often fatter from the meds.
I love the welcoming inviting names they give to some of the old mental institutions. When I was a little kid growing up our local Mental Institution was called “Cherry Farm”. I always wanted to go there because it sounded so lovely. lol.
Lol, funny farm…
That’s a good one
@anon39015889 I suppose “funny farm” is one of the better terms. When someone is psychotic, we say “away with the fairies”, which I quite like because a lot of people in Ireland believe in fairies.
Behavioral health clinic is what my last one was called.
