What children's story has you interested as an adult?

Mine is Alice in Wonderland. Alice and her tree. It made a relatable story. A bit nightmarish, but as an adult, I’m not so concerned.

I never heard of it but it looks interesting.

They just made a film of it last year with Ian McShane

Im not happy when they make films of books. It worries me that kids will watch instead of read. Im probably just being silly though.

I read a lot of piers anthony growing up. Knowing more about him as an adult, i really wish i hadnt. The stories are laden with sexual scenarios and i was too young for some of the stuff presented.

And the crazy thing is that it was in my school library.

I usually hear it said that they like the book better than the movie. Reading makes your own imagination come first.

Do you know the famous five? I wrote a post abut the books not so long ago. It seems not many people know them, allthough imo they are one of the best kid’s books ever written in english…

It really is serious no joke.
In 5th grade I was extremely Advanced for my age at reading and instead of having to take English class with everyone I was allowed to read whatever I wanted in the library during that time period And so all I did was read young adult novels specifically Piers Anthony

Mm yes he was well known in the 80s and i guess my school had purchased all his xanth novels.

I have since heard that he wrote some horrific stuff other than that, which was bad enough.

This story was sooo funny.

I don’t think it’s for young, young kids,

Maybe like 10-14 year old kids,

But super hilarious.
