I kind of want to since its bunnies. But i wish there was a Watership Down movie. I guess i should just see Peter Rabbit. I would probably enjoy it.
we watched watership down in 6th grade, the old animated film. i thought it was okay.
i still remember some lapine words: thlayli, narn, uhh… elil, elahrairah, that’s all i can come up with
they had a whole little glossary with like 15 words, it was great!
embleer, that was one i forgot
I loved watership down. The animation needs to be updated but the story is on point. And the book is really good too. I would give it another chance. It doesnt help that u were introduced to this in school. And i forget the word for the car.
hrududu or hrududil that one came back to me!
“It runs on it”
They really need to re do it cause the story is great but the movie was made in the 70s so the animation isnt great
what do you mean by that? is that the literal translation of hrududu?
Thats what they said when they saw the car. Bigwig said “it runs on it”. Acting like cars run instead of drive
i can still remember bigwigs insult to that one enemy guy, he said, “tu embleer…uh hraka or something and then he called him like a badger or a weasel or something” that one always stuck with me!
i just searched it, “embleer lendri”
was the movie really for kids though, if i remember correctly there was alot of blood
Thats what ive been saying. Its not really for kids. Even without curse words its an adult story. Its not cutesy in any way
i remember finding it kind of boring, what with the crappy animation and all.
childrens book movies im looking forward to seeing are artemis fowl and warriors (the cats). i really loved those little books.
I loved artemis fowl. I read the first 3. But yea if they remake Watership Down it should have a pg13 rating. Its an adult story.
they’re working on an artemis fowl adaptation, i’ll peel myself out of my diseased state to watch that. even if i take no pleasure in it. because those books were magical. way better than harry potter.
Yea. I read those when i was 12. The bodyguard was awesome and the main fairy. I forget a lot of it since its been so long. But that would be a great movie series if they did it right
you have to reread the first book, its very readable as an adult. i actually listened to the beginning of the audiobook on youtube a while ago. it was still entertaining! the plots were so alive and filled with energy. i enjoyed those books so much. especially the opal deception and the scene in there with the trolls on the island. i cant remember what happened but it was an unexpected turn for sure, totally epic. also in that one book where butler is cryogenically frozen then brought back to life with magic.
