What causes us to be unhappy

Because i haven’t had 3 seconds of a bad mood :unamused: in a month and a half. Still have delusions and symptoms but it’s soooo manageable now that my mood is perfect + stable.

Is it really Sz/Sza that causes so many of us unhappiness. I could see sza cuz there’s a mood component. But psychotic symptoms that still linger a bit don’t cause me misery. But I was miserable for 15 years while psychotic so there’s that. What’s changed.

I wrote a poem about that !

Lol and I replied to it

Part of my answer is I’m always most happy in summer

But there’s more to it than that

My mood has made a lot of progress overtime

I was in a mental hospital with this badly depressed guy. He was always looking down, on the floor. He was barely responsive to his environment. Then one day he changed into a totally different person. He was very outgoing, and even a little bit loud. He was saying, “I feel great.” I don’t know what changed him, but he looked so relieved when his moods had their massive change. I don’t think they changed his med’s, though I never checked on that.

Chemicals in the brain

Naltrexone makes me heal over time. Especially when I mix it with drugs with psychedelic effect. It helps my mental health a lot.

Right now I’m in Florida. There’s no weed pharmacy here. My delusions all returned as a result of nothing to really calm me down I feel perfect tho despite it. The delusions don’t bother me. Although they’re there.

They were gone for the last few years other than when I was in the psych hospital for 2 weeks it was greatly intensified too.

I’m not science I’m just a uniquely individual person tho.

Before naltrexone I had anxiety when I got blazed. Now on naltrexone it’s very healing and gets rid of my delusions.

Cant guarantee the same results for anybody else . But I’m a real life human being. So…

I feel my predicament counts also.

You think mixing naltrexone with drugs is good for your mental health? I’m not judging, I still hope maps will make a concoction of medicinal grade legal drugs to cure sz. But if it is nalextrone and drugs that make you happy then it’s just chemicals in the brain lol.

I think high expectations, desires and thirst
cause unhappiness.
In my case it’s not these, but pure depression
from chemical imbalance

I know your just curious. Yeah sometimes I just like to post to understand what Im thinking and put it into words.

Yes although it does causes some symptoms while I was high.

Marijuana less so than ketamine. Ketamine drug causes grandiosity and some psychosis too when you repeat the use within 24 hours. But then when I sobered up I felt much better than before. Just only felt like an idiot for intense delusions that controlled my life and made bad decisions

I’ve quit ketamine but I can’t forget the anti depression and ptsd work that it’s done for me. I think if people can afford and get accepted to a ketamine clinic they should consider it. It’s only been invented in the 60s so I understand people may have hesitation. But in a number of years when it’s not so new maybe it’ll be accepted as a first resort in depression treatment rather than a last resort for treatment resistant depression. And other mental health and pain uses. Even for szs I see this treatment being offered. Although there’s conflicting reports.

There were other drugs that helped too but not as much as ketamine or cannabis did.

Yes def chemicals in this case

You think environmental factor also??

Like what @Om_Sadasiva is saying I agree. I had low expectations in high school and I wasn’t totally depressed. Just lost. But then when I turned 19 I gained an expectation for life and it really causes unhappiness. Alan watts philosophy helped me get out of depression too

Tons of factors I’m sure just trying to figure it out a lil.

Maps is doing studies on most drugs in a medical pure form and environment, they have used MDMA to treat people with PTSD with documented progress, ketamine in medical form is now used for depression. Psilocybin has been used to treat depression, I would gladly take a legal medical form of an illicit drug to help with sz anyday over Satan’s chemicals of the anti psychotic, for me thc brings terror, but CBD brings relief.

But even if you do something that makes you happy, that thing is releasing chemicals in the brain to make you feel that way, whether it be nature, a hug or whatever.

I don’t think there’s any illicit drug currently avail That will ever replace our current meds. Maybe in 2 years that drug will emerge. Maybe. But def not yet.

Ketamine works better in conjunction with ssris for example when treating depression ?? I was told

And The antipsychotics kindve hold the experience into place for somebody like me

I’d go off the rails if not for the conjunction of abilify holding my brain together.

But

The most alarming thing was when I was on k I could practically SEE the difference between having ptsd to not having ptsd. And everything was better also in that regard. It confirmed I must have ptsd. I really don’t think that was me hallucinating purely. But I said “ok right now I don’t have ptsd, but I could see a clear difference to my old reactions, I clearly did have a trauma disorder.” And now nothing bothers me quite like it used to.

I know it’s more for depression but it helped my ptsd just as much.

I’ve thought of donating to maps. I’m reading this on their website right now

Very informative would one day wanna write a book about the realistic nature of this drug
