What books are you reading or listening to folks?

Reading a philosophy book it’s 900 pages. I got 2 other books lined up after this book and they’re around 900 pages. Some days I don’t read so it can take awhile to read these books. I will be done reading it next week. The book covers the first 2 years of philosophy in college courses. Good things

David Romer - Advanced Macroeconomics

it’s basically how to model national economic things like inflation, savings, cost of government and taxation; listing different parameters by different theorists

Most of it is empirically applicable to particular situations and time periods - so it’s not waffling on about made up ideas either; it’s actually trying to develop the field to be mathematically useful

I like it

Just read the Exchange and now know that it follows on from the Firm. Instead of reading the Firm I’m gonna watch the movie starring Tom Cruise. Play it out like a prequel.

I just finished listening to “Born a Crime’ by Trevor Noah, the comedian and ex-host of the Daily Show.

Goes to prove again that looks are deceiving, I would never have guessed his background and that he had the hard life that he did.
