What are you reading?

When I worked at a bookstore I loved to see what people were reading.

Are you reading anything now, or did you just finish something? If not, is there something in particular you want to read?

I know reading can be tough for a lot of us. It takes me a while to get through a book. A lot of times I don’t finish.

I’m actually waiting on a book to be delivered today, it’s called “dead water”

I’m excited. I haven’t read an actual book for myself in like 8 years or something crazy

I’m reading three books right now:

The Mysterious Affair at Styles, by Agatha Christie

El Amante Japones, by Isabel Allende

(That last one is in Spanish.)

The last book I read was called her mothers daughter, it is a period style tragedy about Queen Mary, it`s fiction

Folk horror sounds very interesting, I may look into it!

I love Isabel Allende! I have to read her books in English though. My Spanish has mostly left me, sadly! But I bet they are great in Spanish!

My favorite Isabel Allende books are “A Long Petal of the Sea” and “The House of the Spirits.” Have you read either of those @SkinnyMe ?

I’m reading “American Dirt” by Jeanine Cummins. I will probably start “Black Cake” by Charmaine Wilkerson too. We’ll see!

I like Isabel Allende. The last book I read of hers was awhile ago though-- Island Beneath the Sea in 2010.

I’m reading a lot of Robert E. Howards Conan books at the moment. Have two collections of tales I picked up on the kindle for like less than $5. Great heroic fantasy and so much fun. True pulp tales and reading a lot I haven’t read before which is cool and even those I’ve read I’m enjoying the re read.
