I’m going to be alone for thanksgiving. What are you doing for thanksgiving?

We are celebrating my fathers life.

I have to drive my Dad an hour away to my sisters for Thanksgiving. No one in my family really gets along so it will be awkward. I will likely hear voices on the drive home like I always do.

I’m going to be alone Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. As usual since my mom died.

I’ll have dinner with my parents and sister. We’ll probably celebrate my birthday that day (even though it’s two days early), so I’ll get presents for Thanksgiving.

I’m celebrating with one of my kids, and my husband and brother in law. We’re not following tradition, and are having lasagna for dinner.

But, for dessert, we’ll have apple pie which is traditional.

I’m sorry you’ll be alone @Jake. Does that hurt your feelings?

No it doesn’t hurt my feelings. That is a good idea, having lasagna for thanksgiving instead of traditional food.

Not true, you will be with us :stuck_out_tongue:

My husbands lasagna is the best I’ve ever had. It’s expensive to make, so we request it whenever it’s a special occasion

We may have a small dinner between myself, dad, and his girlfriend but on the following Saturday I am going to my aunts to be with my mom’s side of the family.

Some years we go to the Catholic church here in town for Thanksgiving dinner and make a free will offering. We don’t go to the church any other time though.

I might go to a family friend for Thanksgiving dinner. I’m not too sure as yet. If not I’ll be home and my brother with make the Turkey this year.

I will be alone too, mostly by choice.

We don’t do thanksgiving over here. It’s a curiously North American custom. When I lived in the states though I enjoyed thanksgiving but was always disappointed I never went to the In laws place in Arkansas and have some deep fried turkey. That just sounds a winner on so many levels.

I’ll be going to my Mamacita’s house to eat with her, my brother, and two of my sisters.
