Do we have more chance of getting other brain diseases as we age like Alzheimer’s and parkinson’s?
According to sources, yes.
Just personal thoughts, but I would suggest to you that your risk of these diseases in your later life is likely relative to your current cognitive abilities. If you feel you are currently impaired to some degree, I would suspect that a an age or disease related decline is more likely to lead to such.
More personal thoughts: I’m not one who believes that all people with sz/sza are destined to drastic cognitive decline and dementia. I do believe that as a whole we are more likely to however, due to many factors.
Edit: Just a note: I was going off your original title of Alzheimers and dementia. I dont know about parkinsons.
Yay at least i have that to look forward tooo
Just looked up parkinsons and some studies suggest that, later in life, we are more likely to get this as well.
