How many books you should read to expand all of this … but truly why do I need to expand …it’s really hard work :frowning:

Well, as long as you enjoy yours. High five. :raised_hand_with_fingers_splayed:

An old friend once explained it to me this way:
“The brain is like a muscle, and reading is the best exercise the muscle can get.”

A person who memorizes and recall text is enlightened or informed about a certain topic/subject. Studying in a course allows one to understand a topic for future use. I prefer textbooks than any other type of book.

You can travel to distant fantasy lands, you can have action, adventure, love, whatever. All while reading.

That is if you are anything like me. When I was able to read I had such a vivid, literally colourful imagination so I could fully submerse myself into whatever world of the novel I was reading. It is an escape. It’s also cheaper then traveling, yet you can still explore new places. (in your head)

I can’t read anymore though, which is absolutely heartbreaking. I have a lot of difficulties with concentration, motivation, and I find I cant fully get submersed in a book like I used to.

I’m an avid reader and I read voraciously. Some of the benefits of books are that they expand your mind. Books have many things to teach you on myriads of subjects. Books are also a great past time. They are a great way to spend your leisure hours.

For me it can take me from stress to different places. Imagination, different view points, learning new things. It has a peaceful, calming effect on me.

There are dozens of reasons that reading benefits us. For me, it’s a constant search for knowledge. I’m so inquisitve and want to know how and why everything works the way it does and why people are the way they are. I basically see all of the benefits as personal development in one way or another.
