What are the new APs promising?
I am sure I have primary negative symptoms and new meds won’t help me there.
Yeah there’s new medications that have less side effects coming. They may not work for all, like is the case with the current medications, but they could be very promising.
Anyone know about any more meds?
I used to look for articles regarding sz treatments every morning of every day. Did that for 3 years.
Realized a hard truth: the pace at which they are currently going will probably not yield a cure before my time on earth expires.
Now I don’t follow news anymore. The excitement I would get when hearing about a stage 2 or stage 3 candidate success, would be short-lived anyway. It wouldn’t put food on my table or years in my lifespan. It wouldn’t improve my symptoms or change my current med regimen.
So instead, I focus on living in the present, doing something that adds meaning to my existence, trying to have some fun too. Of course it’s not easy. But it’s realistic.
