Way back on my mum’s side there was a relative that used to chew on the brass by the fireplace and make threatening gestures with a razor. He eventually committed suicide.

For me, my sister is bi-polar, her daughter is too.

I also have a sister and niece with Bipolar. She has three daughters, and its the second one who has it. My relationship with my sister has improved because we have a lot in common with our mental illnesses. There’s a lot that Bipolar and sz have in common. And my mother’s father was an alcoholic. I don’t know of other family with mental illness.

My dad has borderline personality disorder.
My mom had major depression and a lot of alcoholism on her side–but she never drank.
My sis has bi-polar.
MY first cousin has borderline personality disorder.
Alzheimers is very strong on my dads side. My son is diagnosed with SZ--he thinks bipolar. My uncle ( moms side was an alcoholic and served in the korean was-he shot himself because he couldn`t go through another detox.**
