What about paranoia , it can be defeated

I met a guy in group therapy who said “I let go of the paranoia”. Please explain.

You’ll probably have to ask him. I don’t know how someone can just let it go. Unless they mean they ignore it. But even then…

How much of A Beautiful Mind was for effect The car ride, the little girl when he said goodbye!

Only APs took away my paranoia…but I have learned how to not become overwhelmed by it and sucked into delusional thinking because of it. Doesn’t mean it’s easy to deal with…was up all night last night because it was kicking in fierce…overwhelming fear is just a hard thing to combat.

Yes! I suffered from severe paranoia all of my life and I defeated it. Through meditation 15 minutes twice daily, yoga (or exercise) everyday, prayer four times a day, worship once a week, a creative outlet everyday, eating a healthy diet every day, 8-9 hours of sleep every night, pet ownership, friendships, doing something you love everyday, no smoking, no alcohol, taking your prescribed meds every day, attending your doctor appointments.

That souns busy. How do you keep up with the.pace? Self care is full time. Exhausted. Just having a hard time so doing very little. Do you wxercise and work? I am interesyed to know how you do so well with activites? Thank you

Thank-you I have a bicycle. I’m working on my diet, etc.

its to much work , it overwhelms me

Yes, paranoia can be defeated. With multiple antipsychotics. And good living.

I am on three atypical antipsychotics and an SSRI antidepressant that all works great on me. The trick is to get on the right meds.
