Were you ever into punk ? I wasn't impressed

I like Offspring but like @anon49063606 said, their not really a true punk band.

My favorite subgenre is folk punk. Mischief Brew is absolutely amazing, but of course I lived in Philly when they were big there. So I might be biased lol.

Honestly I enjoy punk but I enjoy most music

…However country and smooth jazz can choke

I love and grew up on punk and alternative. Both genres had their merits and I still enjoy modern punk. I don’t like ska though…except for a couple of acts like the Interupters…just never got into ska.

I like NY punk like Patti Smith, Television, Ramones. I like the punk aesthetic overall, like not caring about anything at all, and the “F you” attitude. I like grunge too, which I think was like 90s version of punk, hardcore, and heavy metal combined.

Isn’t real punk just people screaming?

I love classic punk and I’m down with newer acts. Offspring and Blink were okay by me, they were a fresh take on an old scene. Not always a bad thing. Currently grooving to Electro Swing.

This is some punk I’ve gotten into in my 30’s.

The first one is The Pinkerton Thugs who I used to see play at a local punk rock club in my hometown.

This one is GG Allin. Who has a really bad name. He died of a heroin overdose in 1995 or something. He used to get naked and even ■■■■ on stage and went to jail for rape. I hate that about him but like some of his better stuff. He went on Jerry Springer once in the 90’s. More of his later stuff is more hardcore screaming stuff but he has some good stuff. I knew a guy who knew him in his teens but he told me never to tell anyone.

This is a good one by Pennywise

And this is something I got into in my 30’s as well.
