Does anyone like

Old punk music like Dead Kennedy’s and Black Flag? It just raises my mood and makes me feel like everything is gonna be ok. How about you?

Can we include 90s punk and ska in this?

That’s a great song and video.

Yeah sure I’m just hooked on the 80s stuff… maybe showing my age

I like some punk, but not the really older stuff.

The punk bands I like are Bad Religion, NOFX, and The Offspring’s earlier stuff (like Smash, and Ixnay on the Hombre).

I grew up on NOFX since they were funny… but I always come back to the originals

Mischief Brew was always kind of local to the Philly area, but super anarchist.

I liked a lot of obscure ska as well and would dance at concerts as they called “skanking”

Reel Big Fish is the only ska band I ever got into. This is my favorite song by them.

This is pretty good :slightly_smiling_face:.

It’s dumb of me that with “Hussein Skank” as the title, I didn’t even think of Saddam Hussein. I teach in a city with a large Arab population, and Hussein is such a common last name, and first name for males, that I just associate it with Arabs, not Saddam.

I thought it was going to be some kind of anti-Arab song but, thankfully, it wasn’t. I teach a lot of Husseins (and Mohamed’s and Ali’s and Zeinab’s, etc.)

Anyway, I’m guessing it’s an old one, talking about Saddam, maybe from the Desert Storm days?
