Well my cheaper brands of L-theanine have arrived

I swear by the “now” brand. But it’s expensive. I tried a cheaper brand before and it didn’t work out. I don’t want to be tied to just one brand. So hopefully one of these will work out. I’ll give each one a trial for a month.

What did you think of Puritan’s Pride? It’s the only kind I’ve tried but I’m only moderately satisfied with it.

I didn’t try that brand. I just stuck with the “now” brand after another brand failed miserably. How many mg did you take? Maybe you didn’t take a high enough dose. With the “now” brand 200mg has an effect. But I worked my way up to 400mg twice a day.

Yes I can feel some effect with 200mg… 400mg gets me feeling unfocused though, so I just stick to 200mg when I feel anxious or I know I’m entering a nerve-wracking situation.

If they’re 100mg capsules, maybe try 300 :pill:

Just an update. I took my first dose of one of the cheaper brands and the effect seems GREATER than the more expensive “NOW” brand that I normally get. It’s still early days though. Hopefully my shopping around has finally paid off. But it just goes to show that not all L-theanine brands are the same.

That’s 30,000mg  A bit too much for one sitting…

Kudos me too

Oh man! I forgot the “mg”.

Which brand are u taking?

Maybe mix some of the brands together in a bottle and take them until the bottle is gone.

Kind of a blind experiment

I ordered “Healthy Origins” L-theanine from iherb.com USA and 400mg capsules from JustVitamins.co.uk (UK) . So far I’ve just tried the JustVitamins ones but I’ll give them a month before I try the iherb.com ones.

I take the NutraBio L-Theanine and it works great, it is fairly cheap too. You can find it at: http://www.nutrabio.com/
