I got the news right away. The letter that was twelve pages long said that I didn’t qualify for disability although they agree that my symptoms are severe. I filed an appeal. God only knows if this will work.
Sorry to hear that. So you got turned down, then appealed, and that appeal got turned down? It’s probably time to get a lawyer.
sorry to hear this as well,
did they give you a reason for turning you down?
I also got turned down even though the pdoc gave me a paranoid schizophrenia diagnosis. Everyone tells me having Bipolar disorder is much worse than being a paranoid schizophrenic.
I have a lawyer since the first appeal.
I’m really sorry you didn’t get your appeal. Your symptoms are severe so it must impact your life. Good luck on your appeal.
i am sorry you got turned down.
i just got mine 6 months ago ( in australia ) and now they are reviewing the disability payments, you just have to keep on going, my thoughts are with you.
take care
I’m so sorry to hear that. Do you mind me asking what attorney is representing you? I have never heard of someone being represented by a disability attorney being turned down upon appeal before.
In my old job managing a psychiatric treatment center, we had case managers who would help patients apply for disability benefits. The case managers always used the national company Binder & Binder. They never lost an appeal for our patients. They know what they’re doing and they’re very thorough. They wont take your case unless you can get your doctor to write a letter certifying your disability and functional limitations.
My point is: maybe you should reconsider who represents you in the disability benefits appeals process. And if you haven’t yet, get your doctor on board.
I’m sending my best wishes to you for a swift victory over Social Security.
Many Blessings,
Anthony
