Weird thing at my work

So my manager told me last night that if employees don’t purchase at least one item per every 2 weeks, the managers get in trouble.

That’s the craziest thing I’ve ever heard.

I mean yes we should support the company but geez! The managers get in trouble?!?!

WTF?!?!

How would the managers even know if employees bought anything and how frequently?

When you buy something, you put your employee id and password in the computer/register

That’s a new one. Maybe buy a juicy fruit and offer him a piece. Jk :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

It’s a weird rule but seems doable. It’s a Dollar Store, right? It’s a strange rule but spending $26 a year out of your biweekly paycheck doesn’t seem like an outrageous amount. And it’s not like you’re throwing the money away, you can buy stuff you really want or need. I’ve had weirder rules at jobs before.

That’s my plan @77nick77 . Tomorrow night I’m going to buy a swifter type of duster for my fans. It’ll cost me $2.50 because the pole and duster have to be bought separately. But I need it anyway so that’s ok

Yeah, see, that rule isn’t too hard to follow. You could always just buy an energy drink once every two weeks.

No, but I do think it’s ridiculous. I’ve never heard of compulsory consumerism at one’s work, especially at a low wage job

I am changing the rules of the forum so that everyone must pay me at least one compliment every two weeks or be banned.

I have the editing power to do this.

Don’t doubt me.
