Weird people

We’re all really weird but what bizarre or REALLY weird person stands out in your experience?

Hmmm…

There is a dude who is known in this town for carrying around a huge stuffed doll.

Guess his wife died or left him and he went crazy. Drugs weren’t even involved. He treats the doll as if it’s his wife. Don’t know if it’s more sad or more weird.

Out of my circle of friends I feel like the weird one. I’m pretty normal though it’s just the sz.

More sad…

Yeah he’s accepted here.

There’s a guy in our town that rides this bicycle up and down town every day the bike looks like a chopper the shocks are like 6ft tall lol! No idea what else this guy does.

Another guy hangs out at 711 in a wheelchair (he can walk) then wheels up and down the highway rain or shine , we call him Pete the bum. He’s been doing this since I moved here like 15 years ago

To lazy to walk I guess.

I work out in the parks… there are a few people who stand out… I don’t see them as weird. It’s not the first word that comes to mind.

The guy that EVERYONE seems to know at Green Lake is the angry hippy. He sits near the boat house and sings badly self written songs about peace and harmony and love… and if you don’t put money in his guitar case… he’ll cuss you out like no other.

Green Lake park is so surreal on the best of days… The street performers… the drum circle people… the odd array of people who just hang out at the park… It’s gets a bit weird… but it’s a collective weird. Not any one person is doing something more or less weird then all the rest.

I guess so. Rumour is he has rich parents and he voluntarily chose to be homeless. He is a little crazy

My brother was telling me about a homeless woman who came into that gas station. Her hair was all notted up in a loose bun. He thought her hair looked weird so he looked closer and she had a live pigeon without a beak just sitting on her head. I thought to myself if I’m living on the streets I want to be that cool.

It’d be interesting to see which of these people are mentally ill. And if there are any who have totally normal experience and just like to be that way.

Once I spent some time here where Salvador Dali used to spend his time in Spain in a little coastal town, Cadaques.

Here where I’m staying is this old man who goes everyday for a walk of two city blocks to go and drink two beers. But I think this guy has lost or blocked out his medium term memory. Sometimes in the afternoon I’d sit with him on the patio and he would tell me stories of things that happened sixty years ago. He has got about twenty stories and that is all he repeats everyday. I’ve nicknamed him Top20 because of his top 20 stories. Although he is 82 he likes to look at young ladies and he loves his sport. He seems to like me a lot because I always listen to his stories.

I suppose it does not matter how old a man is in order to like younger women. Once I was in Key West, FL and went to one bar and there was one old man in his 80s and he danced with ladies in their 20s. He seemed to have a lot of fun.

People do weird things, once I was in a bar in my little town and two younger women came and said that I should pick them up. I did not know these women, but they seemed to know me.

I have met very weird people in the past. In the early 1990s I was a management consultant in America and I was on my trip to one little town in Alabama and I went to the bar of a motel where I stayed. There were many people and somehow I started discussing with an older man in his 70s. Somehow he thought that I did not show enough respect for him and he almost started fighting with me and told me that he had been a member of the Gambino family of New York. But gladly then a younger man who was with him came and took him away. There are really weird people.

Maybe he, this man in his 80s, just likes to tell his stories.
