Weight loss progress

So the back story is in March of 2023 I weighed my heaviest ever at 296. Nearly 300 pounds. By the end of 2023 I weighed 240 losing 56 pound that year. Fast forward to 2024 I started keto then eventually carnivore and by August I weighed 194 losing 56 pounds. But being on such a restrictive diet triggered my eating disorder again. When I started eating normal again I started a bad binge/purge cycle as I’m sure some of you remember. Well by December I had gained back up to 220. And now it’s 2025 and in February I had gained back up to 235. I’m trying desperately to lose weight again without going on a drastic restriction diet.

I’m happy to report I just weighed in at 228 so I lost 7 pounds in February. I know it’s not much but at least I’m moving in the right direction! I mean if I lost 7 pounds every month till the end of the year that would be 63 pounds! I hope I can keep up the momentum

May i ask why youve chosen to do carnivore? Is it just for weight loss or is it helping your health in some other way?

I just ask because i have gone whole foods and lost weight doing this. Its probably a bit eaiser and more enjoyable (im assuming) than doing full carnivore.

Oh I should have explained better. I’m no longer on carnivore. I did it for six weeks because my parents were doing it. But I stopped and that’s when the binge purge cycle started

Good job not giving up. It’s not easy to keep at it. Hopefully you develop a healthy relationship with food over time. I struggle with yo-yo dieting. I’m trying to learn to choose to be healthy on a daily basis. You’re doing really well since you’re not giving up
