Weight loss and meds

Hi all, quick question… Was wondering if anyone eats way less to lose weight since meds gain weight… any thoughts?

Exercising helps me to manage my weight, but I gained some in the last year.

Weight management isn’t easy on meds.

I do walks and exercise a couple of times a week 30 mins on my exercise bike.

I went from 107 kg to 78 kg and am now on 91 kg.

When I was on my slimmest I would go for a walk of at least an hour every day.

I do. I calorie count. I downloaded a calorie counting app. I’ve been losing weight slowly over 2 years and I’m still losing weight. I’m on Abilify.

I did what you did, I calorie counted. I weigh 97kg right now. But I aimed for only 0.25kg loss a week.

I think if you lose a little weight per week over a long period, it’s better than going to fast. If you go too fast you just give up and put the weight back on.

I have a very controversial way of loosing weight, I go to the local gas station and buy 4 medien sized cheese burgers with a Pepsi max and after eating the burgers I wait 24 hours before I eat again. You go into starvation mode and start burning fat the next 8 hours.
The native Americans only ate when they were hungry. It was the English colonist who introduced 3 meals a day.

I do it. But I take breaks from dieting. I feel way healthier eating less tbh, less bloated.

I started calorie counting with apps. Then I started restricting and monitoring it with apps. Now I think I may be developing an ED. Be careful restricting calories to much leads to binging. It’s a depressing feedback loop. No pun intended.

Was 63kg before meds and sz, on 6mg risp got up to 148kg, now 114kg. Doing calorie counting, high protein low fat low carb diet. I am aiming for a 25 bmi, 75-78kg.

Exercise is also important, calorie expenditure. I do 10k+ steps daily and try to go to the gym 1-4x a week.

I think exercise is more important. Consistent of course. I don’t restrict myself a lot but with exercise my appetite is a lot more sensible in that most days nowadays I’m in a deficit as I’m just not even hungry.
