We both came into some money

never had so much in my possession

wish I could have kept it, but bills come first

hopefully this gets us out of foreclosure

When my ex husband and I got married his grandparents gave us some money. We put it toward the mobile home payment. I paid my home off years ago.

so you got to keep the house, that’s cool, probably cuz you had your daughter, right?

Well, I think he just wanted out of the marriage so he didn’t ask for it. Plus I got the trailer like before we got married. He lived off me for 5 years. I was the breadwinner. I mean he worked but he could’ve gotten a better job. He just refused to.

sometimes I wonder about Phil, when we met, he was just looking for a place to live, picked him from a motel, came home, and he never left. It’s okay, it’s a blessing cuz I can’t afford to live here, I got in way in over my head.

That’s terrible Daze. K is a nice person but he either lived with a woman or one of his parents his whole life. He never lived on his own. Now he’s married and he and his wife (along with my son) are living with her mother. K was a really nice person but I don’t think his parents prepared him for life. He’s never stood on his own two feet. Me, I left home after I graduated high school. Maybe I expected too much from K.

My daughter’s mother-in-law praised her for living on her own for a year before they got married. I thought she was right too.

yeah, I don’t pray too often, but I am a believer, and God provided.

I think it’s American culture though. Many of us expect our kids to leave when they’re 18. My daughter is working and in college. My niece the same. Even when I couldn’t afford to feed my baby and myself I didn’t move back in with daddy. (My baby ate. I didn’t.)

Your daughter sounds like a strong girl.

oh yeah, agreed. My daughter went to community college about an hour away at age 18, and she came home every weekend. I made a shrine for her when she left to go there, had her lay down on paper and cardboard, traced her body, and wrote all the fun stuff we done over the years, propted it up on my wicker chair in the living room. I wasn’t ready to let go either. ha, kinda funny.

I also asked for a mentor at that college when she was so young, really nice woman, she checked on Beth, and had regular meetings, but this was also the first time she got psuedamonas, and I was worried about her keeping up on everything.

Good, friend! Maybe they will stop pounding on your door now. Don’t forget to get yourself and Phil a nice dinner with it, too.

thank you. Yeah we haven’t been to a restaurant in a long time. I’d have to take a bath, brush my teeth, and moisture on my face. He hates how I’m so frumpy. I wouldn’t mind a simple Reuben sandwich with fries. ha.

Oh you can do it. Dress yourself up, and go somewhere. Treat yo self!

Good. I wouldn’t want you to be homeless Daze.

I’ve got some nice clothes, but I never buy anything new. He’s always in t-shirt and jeans anyway. yeah.

You got to go to a barbecue restaurant and get squishy with the barbecue wings or ribs! They won’t care how you are dressed.
