Used to take the train all the time when I was a kid. I miss it. Long train rides across the country in the snow. Sounds good to me.

Yes you should I feel it should not be more than a day because first time take a short ride then slowly increase the length and time

Yeah, in my thirties, I used to catch the Amtrak train for three hours to Sacramento to visit my dad.
I loved those trips, I had my Walkman (yeah, it was that long ago) and some magazines and snacks and I would sit in a seat by myself and watch the countryside go by. I think back then it was about $17 for a round trip.

Last Spring, I took Amtrak to Indiana to visit a branch of my family. I enjoyed it although there wasn’t much to see.

It is my husband’s dream vacation to take Amtrac out to yellowstone national park. Unfortunately, we’ll never be able to afford it.

China’s high speed rail the CRH-400 travels 350km/h from Beijing (北京) to Shenzhen (深圳) in less than 8-hours. Great way to see the country.
I really like up to 1 hour bus journeys. Above 1 hour train is the way to go
