Vraylar increase

So my psychiatrist gave me permission to take my 1.5 mg pill two times a day yesterday and today I managed to get around to doing that. I feel incredibly sleepier and I was wondering if this is normal for increasing the dose of Vraylar. I just hope it’s worth it because the tactile hallucinations I’ve been having have been making me somewhat emotional.

I take 3 mg of Vraylar, but I don’t remember what it was like at first :grimacing: I’ve been on it for so long. It definitely helps with my positive symptoms, and gives me some energy. Give it some time, I’m sure it will be useful for you

Yeah, I’m hoping that it’ll eventually even out, but I’m an impatient person lol. I’ll just try to keep holding on.

How did the 1.5 mg of Vraylar work out for you? I found the 1.5 mg dosage wasn’t enough for me, but 3 mg is perfect. Hang in there!

It worked for me fine until I started having tactile and mild peripheral/visual hallucinations about a week ago. Didn’t notice any other side effects until I increased the dose today. Thank you so much, I’m gonna try.

I’m sorry about your hallucinations. Yeah, just give it a little time and the Vraylar will do its job. Hopefully your hallucinations will subside and you won’t feel as sleepy. Good luck!

Update: I know it’s only been 9 days but I’m starting to wonder if this is worth it. The only way I feel awake is when I drink coffee. I’ll call her tomorrow and ask for her opinion.

I was on 9 mg of Vraylar for the longest time. Now I’m doing 4.5 mg of Vraylar and 40 mg of Latuda soon.

How does your current dosage work for you?

Works great. I just have delusions but I also drink lots of energy drinks which defeats the purpose of the AP.

Gotcha. I’m only on 3 mg right now but I don’t know why I’m so tired on it. I might ask her to put me back on Latuda, too.

I used to take 6mg of Vraylar and never felt tired from it. That’s just my experience on it though. I wish I could go back on that med, I liked it.
