I take a strong multi vitamin and strong omega and nutritional shake of 6 servings of greens.
All good quality.
Any other things known about?
I take a men’s formula multivitamin. That’s it. I think most supplements are unnecessary. For example, I will never buy the Sarcosine or L-theanine advertised on this site.
Ok yeah I saw a lot of that and wondered. Still need to research thosw when my brains in better place. Thanks @freakonaleash
Not sure if anything g tried and worked so thought I’d ask.
i take a multivitamin fish oil and a vitamin called focus factor its a little like sarcosine but its available in stores. they have focus factor at some walmarts and krogers has one called active mind.
Does it help you? @cbbrown
i have noticed a pick up my motivation after i take them but i also drink a cup of coffee before hand.
I’m going to start taking a supplement to get my greens and possibly a vegetarian multivitamin, otherwise I talked to my psych about sarcosine and l-theanine and stuff and she didn’t seem too thrilled, she said CBT and other therapies are the only real relief for negative and cognitive symptoms. I start therapy in less than a week! So here’s to hoping
I’ved tried heaps of supplements including niacin, sarcosine, vit c, b vitamins, omega 3, in high doses.
I’ve found nothing worth taking,
I’m going to try tyrosine but not expecting much
i hope you get better with therapy. its helped me alot, but my therapist is opened to me taking supplements so is my psychiatrist he just asks that i give him time to research the brand before taking them.
My therapist didn’t totally shut it down but she wasn’t ga-ga over the idea. And after reading a lot on this forum it doesn’t seem like the supplements to a whole lot for schizophrenia. But I’m hoping in general, with therapy and a few supplements, I can get a little better. Negative and cognitive symptoms are the worst, I’d rather be psychotic lol
i have a big problem with motivation the supplements help but i have to wake myself up enough to take them.
Hmm maybe I’ll give focus factor a try. I’ve definitely been meaning to get on fish oil but it’s very expensive especially at therapeutic dosages blahhh
Next paycheck maybe haha
if you live in the US you can get three bottles of fish oil from dollar tree for about 3 bucks that’s enough for a month
Wow. I’ve never thought about going to the dollar store. I’m in the US as well but wherever I see it its just so darn expensive
Besides vitamins, I take a low-ish dose of inositol (which comes with choline) because my therapist said it helps with anxiety. I can’t tell the difference, but maybe I’m not taking enough. The amounts are similar to what you’d get in food, so not phamaceutical amounts.
Fish oil supplements causing gastric burning so i don t like it.instead i m consuming fresh fish each week.this is meet the all omega3 and other vitamin requirements from fish and its fresh.other than i m consuming 4 or 5 cup herbal tea in a huge cup.i m not worried my vitamins at my body.vitamins are really easy to take if you eat and drink healthy things.you can even take lot of vitamins from a shitty pizza but carbonhydrats sugars and sodas eliminate the all vitamins at body.
