I wondered how common visual hallucinations are with those who have sz or sza? At night I can see the three people who are against me at work standing in my room and at other times I see men is suits who I believe to be government agents keeping an eye on me
I had really vivid visual hallucinations. My doctor’s didn’t believe me at first because they were so real to me and not like the more common shadow people.
When I was little I would see a man in a fedora and trench coat and he always scared the ■■■■ out of me. I would see people fallowing me or looking in my windows pretty often. Sometimes I would see my son, which I never minded and quite enjoyed. I miss seeing him.
I see other people and even in completely new environments. It’s like I am dreaming while I am awake but it’s through my eyes and not in my head.
The meds usually keep me from hallucinating though. I have only hallucinated once this year that I know of. I can’t always recognize when I am hallucinating. The images seem very real. I only catch on nowadays if there is a stranger in my house.
I Have experienced all types of hallucinations. For the most part it’s tactile and auditory. When I’m very tired or manic it’s visual. And they have faces and details to them not just shadows.
I don’t see anything resembling people. Mine are the typical psychedelic stuff. Started out with colors. Then animals. Now bugs sometimes or shadows. More often now it’s shadow bugs.
I got shadow people from time to time. Also get these afterimage auras when I look at people too long. Like they’re duplicated with light. I struggled trying to look that one up. Still sometimes think my vision is just wonky.
my first visuals and most enduring are really not bothersome, its small things like seeing orbs or bands of light or color or things moving/warping slightly. idk how long its been going on for, but it doesnt really bother me so i dont even bring it up to my doctor.
before abilify i had much scarier ones though. they were never fully opaque/solid, more like ghostly/translucent, but they still scared the christ out of me. i always say what i thought were aliens staring at me through the windows
I usually get medicated shortly after the hallucinations start. So I’ve only had a handful. They were as real as normal life but very peculiar and could not have really happened so I think they were hallucinations. Always think they are real at the time. But when I look back they seem to be fictitious.
