Just had a talk with my new therapist.
She doesn’t think I need deep talk therapy. She said it could even be damaging,
She has idea to meet me once every month to talk about simple things, as an example on how to improve my life.
She said it’s not a good idea for person with SZ to talk about traumatic events or other hurtful things, because it even could make me feel worse.
She also mentioned that the only one real help for people with SZ are medications.
Now I am confused. It seems this psychologist and my Pdoc opinions contradicts…

Yeah psychoanalysis can be damaging to people with schizophrenia
Your therapist is right
My therapist doesn’t dive deep with me
She basically monitors how I’m doing and gives me real world advice.
I prefer it this way

Thanks, @Wave , it means my new therapist is right.
Now It’s clear why my last psychoanalysis was so bad. I felt even worse than before starting it.
(It was almost a year ago)
I have this idea to simply buy some new psychological books.
Because I don’t feel a need to talk about my life at all. Maybe I don’t need any therapy.
I feel like everything I do these days is alright. Maybe vraylar helps me with decision making.

Does this book say how to combat paranoia?
I’m hoping to use it for just that!!!
