Video of me boxing with a heavyweight

Friend of mine who I taught how to box who is way bigger than I am. Just thought this was interesting and wanted to share.

I’m the smaller one in black with the Jack Skellington tattoo.

I wish i had energy to excersize like you to.

Yeah, I got tired just watching!

how heavy are your gloves?

mine are 16oz and his were 18oz

thats impressive. i wouldnt want to take a punch from you lol. i used to wrestle but never did boxing or mixed fighting.

I am actually pretty seasoned- again, I taught the guy in this video. I am not much of a wrestler, I have training and experience in ground fighting but I prefer boxing and Muay Thai.

We agreed to wear face guards because I have more skill and he has way more power.

Good job, mortimer. But the big guys problem was that he wasn’t aggressive enough. He got in a few good counter-punches but he didn’t use height and weight advantage like he should have. Good fight though.

I’m still considering being heavyweight champion of the world but I don’t want to put in all the time and work it takes to get there.

Great video mouse, you have a lot of energy,I know you lift weights, but didn’t know you can box

Great Video indeed…:rainbow:

wow! Love martial arts.
I am training in muay thai for a while, but I just started sparring last August. I’m not good, sadly, but I do it anyways for the love. I’ll be sparring tonight again. Missed a week because my stepfather threatened to leave me locked outdoors if I came home after 10 and I’ve been scared to go all week since I have nowhere else to sleep. Usually, I go consistently.

Great video! Very inspirational! Cheers to you! Great speed and lots of action! Thanks!

Have you watched Creed yet? I had some boxing training, but that was almost 10 yrs ago.

nice, it would be fun to join you, i also did muay thai

by the way what is your weight?

No, I haven’t watched Creed, but now that you mention it, I’m watching the trailer.

it [creed] looks SO EXCITING! Sylvester Stallone is in it, too?? wow!

Have you thought of taking up boxing again, just for fun? How long did you train for?

Only a few months, I had fluid in my knee and the Dr told me I needed to rest it for a few weeks.

What I should have done is done upper body training only, but hindsight is a powerful thing!

I just rejoined the local gym this afternoon though, so we’ll see!

I’m right under 165lbs, 162 in the mornings. Thanks everyone for the kudos. I like when people are inspired and motivated, at least shown that it is possible to do physical feats like fight after being damaged by the illness.

And @JH85 yes Creed was excellent, I loved it! The fight scene with Leo vs Adonis was such good cinematography that my cousin even commented on it while we were watching it, and he studies film in L.A. and works for a film company.
