Seriously though todays heavyweights are massive. Wilder is kinda an odd case because he weighs like 214 I think, but comparing current heavyweight’s with old ones, the size difference is crazy. Imagine putting in Ali or Holmes in there with Wilder or Fury.

Yeah, When Ali beat Foreman, even Foreman was only 220 lbs. (I looked it up).

It’s weird how we kind of went backwards in terms of skill with heavyweights. I feel like the old heavyweights where way more skilled then the new ones, especially considering the resources the new ones have.

Yeah, none of these current boxers are legends like the 60’s and 70’s boxers and Tyson and Lewis. I don’t watch boxing anymore, the whole sport has declined. MMA took over.

It sure did. If you wanna see real competition you watch the ufc. There’s still some incredible talent in boxing but like you said the whole sports on the decline.

Yeah, the Diaz-Paul fight should be interesting. Who do you think is going to win?

I hope to god Diaz wins. When Paul beat Silva my heart broke. Terrible press for MMA even if everyone knows he’d lose in the cage against the guys he’s beating. But ■■■■, he was a decent college wrestler so I’m sure a lot of people think he would beat those guys if it was mma too. In terms of a prediction… Diaz. Paul has big power but Diaz is the best mma boxer he’s ever faced. Diaz also doesn’t get tired. The only thing is I could see Diaz not putting in the work in training camp for this one. If that’s the case I could see Jake just battering him the way Cannonier did Vettori the other week. Just busting him up the whole fight. The other thing is there fighting in there own promotions so everyone has to be on steroids. I could also see Jake coming in juiced to the gills and Nate coming in natty. It’s tough. I’m still gonna say Diaz though. I think he may take this one seriously just because he’s always wanted to box. If he does well there’s space to make a lot more money. So yeah, I’m gonna go Diaz.

Yeah, you’re right. Diaz has the advantage in cardio and Paul has the advantage in power. Diaz also has fought the very best in the UFC and that experience is going to go a long ways. Plus he’s tough as nails. Paul seems to be the real deal though. I’d say Diaz though too.

I see the fight going one of two ways. Either complete destruction by Paul or it’s competitive early and Diaz takes over in the later rounds. The only thing is in the ladder scenario Paul could still win by decision. I’m actually gonna switch. If I HAD to put money on it I think I would put it on paul… I hate saying that I just don’t trust Diaz’s motivation, he did not look great against Ferguson and he’s getting older. Also i think he’s committed to being natty. All that said I’ll be rooting hard for Diaz.
