i want to get back into vr as my family and i enjoyed it and its good exercise. its so expensive tho we had a meta quest 2 and the price increased by a hundred dollars over the years after we no longer had it
Been replaying Fallout 3 recently. Game still crashes like it did when it came out. Other than that it’s fun. Just got thru the city with the giant firebreathing ants. Those things are bullet sponges. Also Megaton is now hostile because I tried to sneak into the armory and there was a giant robot guarding the inside.
I’m expecting to spend over $1,000 on the MQ3 with accessories, etc.
you must be balling, when i think about it tho ive probably spent around $1k on gaming over time like my xbox series x, tv and monitors, games, and racing wheel converter adapters and accessories. all just to use my xbox for youtube 70% of the day while playing retro games on sub ~$100 handhelds lol
been playing a lot of space station 14 and project zomboid
I can’t go to public gyms now because of the ongoing COVID risk and this is about the same cost as a good gym membership when you spread it out. I need something that keeps me moving in the dead of winter when it’s freakin’ cold. I am giving my wife the Q2 so we can both work out together.
thats great that it keeps you active. i used to work up a huge sweat boxing in the thrill of the fight when i had my quest 2. i prob wouldve kept it if it werent for my left joystick having a drifting issue that seemed to be more software related than hardware, it was weird, i think that because a factory reset fixed it for a while
This is the reason that I’ve been gravitating towards MMORPG’s for the past few years. I remember grinding Terraria and Skyrim back in the day, but nowadays it’s far easier for me to play for more than 30 minutes if I’m playing with friends. I usually am able to do that in CSGO and OW2, as my friends play those games. In the RPG genre, I usually have to play solo so I’d far rather hop into an MMORPG where I can make friends as I play.
Big Double Fine Sale ATM on Microsoft Store, I snagged Day of the Tentacle, Full Throttle, Grim Fandango Remastered, Broken Age, and Massive Chalice all for 19.95. So like 4 bucks each.
halo the master chief collection is on sale for its lowest price ever $9.99 its an awesome game having remastered versions of every halo with coop campaign, crossplay and active matchmaking servers.
i already own it but i payed more when i bought it a while ago lol
took a chance and bought assetto corsa for xbox, it was on sale for $7.49 but my racing wheel converter only allows the wheel to use proper full force feedback in certain games so i was hesitant. luckily tho the force feedback works and its amazing. i have forza horizon 5 as it came with my xbox but its too arcadey and open world for me, and also forza motorsport 4 but the racing wheel force feedback doesnt fully work in it on xbox 360. luckily assetto corsa is working great and i can feel everything through my wheels motor, its a much more realistic simulation experience when the force feedback is active as the wheel will move and spin back on its own when you let go of it and rumble when on bumpy surface, as well as lockin up in certain scenarios
been replaying black ops cold war campaign, i beat it on regular difficulty now am progressing through it on hardened difficulty.
i wish i could have the energy i had when i completed 4 cod campaigns within days. also when i beat doom (2016) on nintendo switch.
lately im back to gaming a bit more playing multiplayer with friend and also playing handheld in short bursts and xbox in slightly longer bursts
Played my switch for about 45 minutes today first did a few courses on mario 3d land then played pikmin 2 most of my yellow pikmin died off from the last cave i did
Still playing Starfield and haven’t got over level 12 haha. I am fine tuning my build in the early game and it’s still fun. Love the bethesda take on rpgs and I’m not reading the help files which I should. Just playing and learning as I go so I stuff up a lot of things.
Like still stuffing around with a diplomat on my current playthrough. Hitting up some different tech choices early and it does play a bit different. It’s a curious game but I’m not too far into it…
I’ve honestly got my monies worth out of it already!
been playing jackie chan adventures: legend of the dark hand on Gameboy advance emu since yesterday. it is addicting lol its a beat em up style game and very fun, beat em ups are one of my favorite genres when it comes to retro games as i played alot of streets of rage and cadillacs and dinosaurs
Im level 48 trying to get some of the higher skills. Still haven’t done much in the main quest. Upgraded my ship twice though!
got an hdmi audio extractor so i can use speakers/headphones with my xbox with monitor without plugging into controller. mainly tho for rocksmith remastered as the latency with tv speakers delay makes it impossible to play, with the audio extractor theres no noticeable delay or latency so i can rock out on my guitar and bass and learn some more songs and techniques
I use Microsoft proprietary Wireless Headset. Connects to xbox wirelessly like a controller with little to no lag. It’s useless for PC or other systems tho cuz bluetooth mode is lag central
I tried a soundbar but lag was real so im stuck with TV speakers if not using headset
i have a rig 700hx wireless headset that connects to xbox with a usb 2.4ghz dongle. i almost got the xbox oem one as it looks sleek and cool.
i still feel like any amount of wireless has enough latency to make rocksmith not playable. other games like non rhythm games should be fine but any latency in between playing a note on the guitar and hearing it through the speaker can make it impossible to play properly
LoL i hear u, graphics lag is super important in Street Fighter 6. A few thirtieths of a second (aka frames) off and you’re at a disadvantage. I had to turn off all my visual bells and whistles just to improve performance for that one game.
I used to play Rock Band and Guitar Hero a lot. Dead! by My Chemical Romance was my favorite song to play.
