Vets and pet owners aren't right?

been seeing on Facebook that dogs shouldn’t be fed
burnt brown balls,
but Real food.
caught some hell when an owner of clients (dogs)
when I told her they wouldn’t eat their dog food,
and what I gave them.
it’s how my grandma did it on the farm. Slop.

What? I haven’t done anything but ask a question.

You really should ask permission before feeding a dog something different from what you were told to feed. It’s great that you care and want the dogs to be healthy. Just ask permission next time

My dog has a habit of choking on hard things. Sometimes when I’m out on a walk people offer her treats without my permission and it’s a large hard one. I get quite angry. Sometimes people do ask permission which I appreciate.

Dogs may have special dietary needs or could be allergic to certain things.

I’m feeding my cat soft wet cat food because it’s much better for their health than dry food.
Cats don’t drink enough water so they take in the added moisture from wet cat food.
It’s better for their kidneys.

With that said, dogs are different and could be fed dry kibble (pellets)

Im not sure what a dogs nutritional needs are but in my personal opinion id agree with giving them human food as well. I think theyre omnivorous like us but also love meat mostly. Just an opinion tho i know little about dogs.

You have to be very careful giving human foods to dogs @Daze

There are many foods like onions, garlic, grapes, chocolate that are toxic for dogs and could kill them.

Plus their food needs to be balanced with the right amount of protein and carbs given to them.

I wouldn’t feed the dogs “slop” again.

Any sudden change to a dog’s diet can give them stomach upset, diarrhea, and pai ful bloat.

Just one meal can do it.

My dog has special needs. If someone fed him something different, I’d know because of stomach upset and would be super angry.

Our cat has special requirements because she is an old kitty with unhealthy kidneys. We have to leave her with a professional pet sitter when we travel now and we sign an agreement about what she is fed and when. They have time-stamped videos of feeding and petting showing that they are complying with the contract that are available for owners to view online from wherever they are vacationing. We also have to provide them with the food she needs as it is beyond their normal options (they actually have a menu for cats).

none of them are on Facebook, from here, Sheri,
they don’t hear about farm fresh foods.

I’m on FB constantly and I make a point of supporting local farmers. They get paid better when the supermarket is taken out of the equation.
