My family tree is full of veterans. While I never had the chance to serve myself, I appreciate the sacrifices our troops have made. I know there are a number of veterans on the forum and I want to thank you for your service.

I believe we should thank veterans who were commanded by people, (like cattle), to defend our rights. And I hope people will think about how those rights are lost fast.
BTW veteran’s day sale at brooks brothers…up to 70% off for vets day.
My grandfathers fought in WW2. They weren’t cattle. Think of what life would be like if the Axis had won. While not every conflict was as noble or clear of purpose as WW2, that doesn’t diminish the sacrifices made by those others who have served. This isn’t a time for politics.
So you say to me operation enduring freedom, and operation Iraqi freedom (two different wars), have brought our world to a better way of living. There’s more suicidal cases of vets then losses in battle right now. It’s an abomination.
I’m sorry Malvok, my Grandfathers were in ww2 also. They both battled alcoholism, as I do. Yet I don’t feel what I did in Afghanistan means anything to anyone anymore…
I mean I’m schizo man, but still…wtf am I doing being disabled over a war that’s still ongoing??
It’s a shameful feeling to me. But I’ll snap out of it…sorry guys.
Happy veterans day
I am for PEACE I have a PEACE sign bumper sticker on my car - But… I do think that protecting our country is vital.
I really respect soldiers - they sacrifice a lot - I always donate money to vets who collect in front of the marketplace.
To every Veteran on here - Thank You!
When I wrote about members here who have served and how I appreciate their service, I was thinking of you.
Politics is a dirty business but the men and women who serve are noble, the best of us. They serve for their families and friends, for those who came before and those not yet born. Regardless of how our politicians have acted, our soldiers do what must be done to keep the wolf from our doors. You should have pride in your service, you didn’t make the policies or start the conflicts, you did your duty and that’s something for which to be proud.
