the house is almost not comfortable…going to stay like this for the rest of the summer…not happy.
I think everyone at a certain temp needs a kiddie pool filled with ice water as a reward for toughing it out.
I feel for you. Dealing with the weather when we are on the med’s is no joke. Maybe you could contact a relief agency and see it they can find an air conditioner for you. At the beginning of warm weather I bought a little “air conditioner” for $30, and it did nothing for me. At most I got a little cool breeze in my face once in a while. But our landlord bought us some heat pumps that are working well, so we don’t have to deal with hyperthermia. I am very grateful for that. Maybe you could spend most of your days and part of your nights in the public library. I think every library has internet computers now. Let the authorities know what is going on with you. They have access to resources that might help.
And ice cream. A kiddie pool full of ice cream
well it’s still cool right in front of the a/c units…so we are fine…it’s the kitchen that heats up even when we don’t cook.
…you’re trying to make it snow again!
In wintertime everybody complains about the cold and rain and says they can’t wait for summer. Then summer comes and everybody complains about the heat.
The guy I did yard work for years used to say, “Everybody complains about the weather but no one does anything about it.”
Last year I covered all the windows in white blackout vinyl. It keeps out the light and sun rays making the room bearable but still hot.
It’s stuffy in here but we’re not allowed to crank the ac lower than 70 degrees Fahrenheit
