Twialine's mind dump

I’m doing pretty well still, I see my therapist Monday but I go see another lady once a week to make sure I’m doing well and that went really good! I’m running out of things to talk about and everything that has happened to me doesn’t affect me that much anymore (thank goodness for keto diet) I see my regular therapist Monday and I’m kinda excited because this is the best anyone has ever seen me and I’m happy and clear headed and just excited

We aren’t moving anymore… A lot has changed for the better and it makes me excited for the future we also just can’t afford to move we’d have like $100 left for food and everything in our lives and that’s just not going to work

Life doesn’t seem as complicated and I’m not nearly as paranoid about the grass as I was… I’m hoping I can start mowing the grass next summer but we’ll see!

I kinda wanna do something nice for my husband’s and my 5th wedding anniversary in May of 2026 I know it’s about a year and a half away but I wanna plan now… Any suggestions for what to do no matter if we have to save for a long time or not please let me know what we should do as kinda a second honeymoon

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding anniversary and for doing so well on your diet. You sound like you are in an excellent frame of mind.

As far as ideas for your anniversary, I think that depends mostly on what you both like to do and see together. A question to ask yourself is what did you two do for your honeymoon ? My husband and I like to tour old houses so for our honeymoon we went to Savannah and toured quite a few houses and we are planning an upcoming anniversary trip to Charleston to tour some more old houses.

If you two are into camping or love the beach, then maybe a weekend getaway in a rustic cabin or a hotel by the beach might be nice.

If money is tight then maybe spend 1 night in a hotel and have a nice dinner somewhere.

The main thing is just taking the time to reconnect and tell each other again why you love one another and that can be done no matter what you do! Just have fun!

Thanks @Vinegar it gets to hot to camp around here in May. For our honeymoon we went out of state went to all the attractions for a week and then the following year my mil took us to Florida (had an amazing time) so IDK I’m hoping to save for a while since we have a year and a half till 5 year anniversary so we might go back to Florida… Disney world was awesome and we’ve always wanted to go to universal studios so we should save a lot of that’s what we wanna do BTW our anniversary is May 11th

I am from Florida! There is definitely a lot to see here, including the theme parks in Orlando. And, yes, it is too hot to camp here in fl in may if you use a tent. However, since you mentioned Disneyworld, they have a campground where you could get a campsite, and either bring your own travel trailer or rent one from one of the companies that rent Fort Wilderness trailers. Any travel trailer would have air conditioning and you could save money on hotels and really save a ton of money on food. Universal Orlando is 25 minutes from Disney’s campground so that is not bad either, especially for Orlando’s traffic.

We have a travel trailer and have done this before and we save a ton of money by having our own little kitchen.

If you are interested in Florida, besides the beaches there is the beautiful Everglades. It would be extremely hot in May, though.

@Vinegar my mil took us in May and it was hot! We’re from Arkansas so I’m use to a little heat but once it’s in 100 degrees I’m indoors! I get dehydrated easily because I have no feelings of thirst I passed out at silver dollar City in Missouri because I didn’t have enough water in me

I really liked Florida! We went to a Disney resort for 2 days and stayed at Coco Beach for the last I found lots of sea shells and got in the water a bit and saw the sun rise it was perfect! And we got amazing pictures

Oh, wonderful! Then I would recommend that you save up your money maybe a few more months and do your anniversary trip in the winter months. Florida is perfect in the winter
