Anyone following the news? Supposedly 22 people have been killed in Maine and many more injured.
I read that the shooter was addmitted to a mental hospital this past summer. Also read that he was hearing voices in his head.

YEah, they broke into regular programming for that news story earlier today while I was watching tv. Some people dont like to hear about these stories so may need a TW and different title. IDK. I will leave that to the mods.

@Bowens - I know theres millions of good people who own guns in America and dont commit crimes. But that doesnt change my feelings about guns in general. I hate them.

Back when I was a mod, gun control was a banned topic, as it’s pretty political. But I’m no longer a mod, so I have flagged as something else to let the mods decide if they want to close or keep open.
They have been banned in the US since the 80s. Only semi-automatic are legal.
no, the republicans dropped the ban…automatic weapons are available still.
You are right, you need a special license to own them and they can’t be manufactured anymore, but you can own them legally.
