False. The two premises are not correlated. You may think they are, but it’s just a causal fallacy.

i think the quote might be commenting on great genius defying what is expected as truth by radically transforming it and proving prior truth to be false

something like that which isnt quite psychosis, but an impression of abnormality

as I said I look out 4 people with a mental illness because I try 2 understand

There are schizophrenics who are intelligent…but its not because of schizophrenia. On average, people with schizophrenia have a lower IQ than the general population. So a high IQ schizophrenic is possible, but its not because of schizophrenia, its in spite of it.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but thats reality.

I know you are trying to build people up @san_pedro , but its very difficult to do so with blatant falsehoods.

If you want to build people up, try pointing out the good qualities they really have. It’s much more believable to them when its the truth.

For example : I think most of the time you have good intentions at heart. I also think its great that you created the say anything thread that has lasted all these years.

Isn’t that more believable than we are geniuses because we have had madness?

I’d agree. Not because madness is a necessity to be genius but because people who overclock their brains tend to damage their brains in the long run.

To illustrate it more clearly imagine the brain was a CPU. Most people with the most powerful computers are probably over clocking their cpu’s (pushing it past it’s recommended working capacity)

This makes damage to it more likely. It’s not that damaged cpu’s are more powerful. It’s just that more powerful cpu’s tend to get damaged.

Perhaps it’s better to be less intelligent but more balanced in the long run. Yet it is true that overly intelligent people do end up a little mad. They work their brains too much which hurts them, but they do gain a lot of facts from all that thinking.

yes. possibly. szs tend to be less intelligent, but ive read high intelligence has higher rates of MI
