Trouble sleeping

For the past few years I’ve had trouble sleeping without medicine, but for the last couple months even with 50 mg of trazodone I wake up in the middle of the night at least 2 times. For the past week it’s gotten really bad where I can’t go to bed until after midnight and then I wake up about 4 times during the night really scared and feeling like I’m being watched. I usually have to go into my parents room and sleep in there. I think it might be me changing medicines because I’ve only been on it a week and for the first six days I was on half of my dose so I think it’s not fully in my system. Also I start hallucinating during the day and I hear and see some scary stuff that keeps me up at night and maybe that’s why my sleep has gotten worse. I don’t know. How do you guys sleep?

I kept upping my trazadone until now I take 300 mg of trazadone for a good night’s sleep…ask your pdoc if you can double or triple your trazadone intake? good luck…if you are unstable it has nothing to do with sleeping. I would see about a med adjustment with your pdoc…good luck…I’m sorry you are suffering.

I find what helps me sleep is to do some strenuous exercise before bed. Maybe sweat hopefully feel exhausted and take a hot shower and rest in bed.

Sleep is so important for us, I take sleeping pills sometimes a couple times a week. But my pdoc prescribed muscle relaxers because of my ap’s and I find I get a better nights sleep on those once in a while. But don’t ignore this lack of sleep is a big trigger you could probably call the office with out an appointment and they will call a prescription in for you. Also I stay away from caffeine after noon.

I drink a lot of passion flower tea. There’s a tea called nighty night by ‘traditional medicinals’ I drink a couple of those. Puts me to sleep quick

I take 150 mg of trazodone to help sleep. I don’t know if it works because I do not get drowsy from it. Still I go to sleep eventually. Every once in a while I have periods of time where I barely get any sleep at all. Lately I have been able to sleep about 8 hours or so a night. In a year or two I will have troubles again as it seems to be almost seasonal.

I sleep twice, once from about 9pm to 11-12pm and again from about 9am to 3-4pm. I’m asleep most of the day.
