So it’s only second period and I’ve already had a panic attack. The next door class was being really loud and shouting and when it’s really loud like that it will set off a panic attack then a girl was banging on the door shouting let me in and that set off my delusion which made the panic attack worse. I can usually ignore the delusion but I can’t now and I’m scared and I feel like someone is going to come after me. I also don’t think I’ll be able to eat either. Oh and I have a test today.
They let you have your phone?
ok
it’s not a delusion, it’s sensitivity
if you’re on meds now, it even happens with sunshine
I’m in my advisory so I can have my macbook which is what I use. I’m not so sure about it not being a delusion considering on how it’s tied in with me not eating and the reason why I feel I can’t eat and the fact that it showed up before I was on meds.
Okay
I don’t know what to say
Good luck on your test
You need food
Once you break into eating usually you will finish
Sorry you’re struggling like this, @ChildOfFate. You refer to it as a delusion so you must know on some level that it might not be true, I assume. Try and focus on something else, something good in your life, to take your mind off it. I know it’s hard to do. And like @Daze said, you need food, so try and eat something when you get a chance. Hope you get to feeling better soon. You’re in my prayers.
@Daze Thank you and I’ll try to eat but we’ll see.
@disciple On a certain level I know that it is not real but most of me isn’t able to believe that it isn’t real so most of the time fear takes over. I hope that made sense. I’ve been doing a little bit of drawing so that’s been helping me get my mind off of things and I’ll try to eat but like I said earlier we shall see. Also thank you.
When a person is in great distress they don’t eat
When a person is coping but distressed they eat more
I totally understand what you mean. I struggle with certain things in the same way. Glad the drawing is helping. Hang in there and keep on fighting. You can do this!
Just turn what you can into a positive.
Think of all that loudness from the class next door and say to yourself “wow, they must be having a good time!”
Think of your food as nourishment to your body, make it a happy event. Have your lunch with a friend or eat it out in the sunshine. Take advantage of the fact that it is stimulating one of your five senses and start to ground yourself with that.
Try to activate your other senses as well. Rub your feet on the ground or rub your hands together for the sensation. Look at one of your pictures you have drawn and find the beauty in it, pop your headphones in and listen to your favourite song. For smell, I carry a bottle of patchouli oil with me everywhere.
Deep breathe and count backwards from ten taking a deep breath with each number.
Don’t think of today as a bad day, think of it as a day that might present some challenges but you have the tools to defeat those challenges.
Good luck on your exam.
i’m sure you’ll feel better later, get well soon
Ahh it’s winter
@Daze That is most certainly an interesting observation that I feel to be true, and sunlight streams in through windows onto the seats so I can still sit in the sun.
@disciple I will keep fighting I just have to set a time to look forward too and that will help so right now I’m just looking to make it too lunch which is soon.
@anon84763962 Well today I haven’t struggled with my hallucinations only this so that’s a positive. I get to practice my coping skills, and I have an excuse to draw and listen to music.
I’ll try to see food as that but with a delusion that I have it’s still hard to eat.
Right now for grounding I’m sucking on a cough drop. I have a sore throat anyways so it’s helping in multiple ways. Rubbing things and tapping things is somehting I’ve found I do when I’m anxious. I dunno why but I think it helps keep me calm because I have that feeling of something solid there. That’s my theory anyways.
Ooh breathing always helps! I like to breathe.
Thank you I’ll try to do my best on the test
@daydreamer I hope I feel better soon
It’s been said a person living life with no mental illness is not alive or a real person
See if @anon84763962 gives a like
Ahh no
liked!

Oh then no eating in the sunshine! Just find a nice heated area to eat instead!
Sorry you’re having a rough time. Would it be easier to eat lunch if you prepared and brought in your own food? Or prepackaged food? That way, you would know nobody else touched it.
Just deep down feeling not surface
I’m wanting to see success here
If you can’t get help and get better what’s the point
It’s an asmr video but she has panic attacks and says that deep breaths and stuff like that work.
@Ninjastar That might help, but I’m not totally sure. Prepackaged can usually work unless the paranoia is really bad in which case my brain turns to the they have an algoritham (however you spell that) that can decide what I’m going to choose. But otherwise packaged food is really good.
For bringing in my own food my fear would be that they got to my food when I wasn’t looking, or that they have this little drone that can put poison in it when I’m distracted.
@SP2342 Sadly I didn’t have time to watch the video but I too believe that breathing actually helps despite some peoples belief.
Oh and too everybody I did make it through the day. Had a few more panic attacks but I did make it through.
