This is serious

I think I’m going to die if I don’t do a 2 week fast.

I feel really disgusting atm with all this piles of comfort food I’ve eaten in the past week. Like, I know comfort food is OK, but in the past 7 days I ate, like, so much more than I was expecting.

So now I need to do a 14 day fast.

My brother surprisingly supports me on this.

I said I will give him 20 pounds if I don’t get through it.

And he will give me 20 pounds if I do it.

Any one want to wish me luck and support?

You wont eat anything for 14 days?

Sorry but 14 days is too long. You’re risking your health on that long of a fast.

Are you doing a water only fast or are you gonna do a veggie and juice fast?

Hope you don’t get too weak but 20£ sounds like a good motivator.

Best wishes.

That sounds hella dangerous to be honest.

Is there a doctor you can talk to about your weight that you feel comfortable with and trust?

From google:
"Is it safe to fast for a week?

Fasting for a few days probably won’t hurt most people who are healthy, provided they don’t get dehydrated. But fasting for long periods of time is bad for you. Your body needs vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients from food to stay healthy.Jul 22, 2020"

Yeah I gained a couple of pounds over Christmas but fasting for 2 weeks is downright dangerous!

I see this one doctor who specializes in nutrition.

I would suggest that you start seeing a nutritionist.

But please don’t fast for such a long period.

Yes, no food for 14 days. I’ve never done that before.

The only thing I hope will be OK is that my bones don’t become irreversibly lower in bone density.

Thankyou Sleepoptimistic!!

Cant you just cut your calories in half everyday like I did or is that hard? I went from 4000 cal/day to 1600-2000/day and lost 26lb and thats without exercise staying in bed all day everyday.

Welcome.

Have A Great Day.

I personally feel that cutting the food out completely will be more beneficial than cutting it in half for a week.

Cutting it in half will not work for me.

I mean I know nothing but this is what I believe

My old neighbor went without food for 1 month for religious reasons and she fainted. Ambulance came and her blood glucose level was too low. If someone did it doesnt mean that it will be healthy to you. Everybody is different.

But your body and cells need certain vitamins and nutrients that can only be found in food.

If you literally starve your body of these nutrients for two weeks you could end up in some serious medical troubles.

After 3 to 4 days you won’t feel the intense hungerpains anymore. Maybe make sure you stay hydrated and maybe your body odours getting more intense. That all i know from fasting. Good luck.

How about fasting every other day? Anything is better than no food for 2 weeks.
Google again:

"What happens if you dont eat for 2 weeks?

Your body can be subject to starvation after a day or two without food or water. At that time, the body starts functioning differently to reduce the amount of energy it burns. Eventually, starvation leads to death. There is no hard and fast “rule of thumb” for how long you can live without food."

I believe that my body has enough stores to keep me going for 2 weeks, just about.

In addition check this out. It is something that apparently happens during starvation mode, something that my body is perhaps asking me for
