Thinking of getting a JD to work as a paralegal remotely

Well I have no experience with law

What do you have experience in?

I also want something tangible as a profession so I can feel a bit safer in the context of things

Not much experience. Kitchens.

I interned for construction and architecture firms

If I remember it correctly you wanted to do customer support for Medicaid. Are you still exploring that?

Yeah the idea is to do that but I’m waiting to hear if they hire. They hire in waves. I’m on a waiting list but I’ve been advised to look into other options

Okay I understand. But if you’re trained in customer support it would make sense to explore that field.

It doesn’t have a huge amount of room to grow

How do I put it? In my opinion, as a customer service representative at inspiretech, I wouldn’t be in a position to upgrade my status, improve my salary, gain responsibilities or learn

I’ve worked in customer support for 7 months and there it was possible to become a team manager after a while or become a specialist with more responsibility.

But there are junior and senior paralegals. I could make up to 50$ an hour if I was experienced

You need to work on site to become a manager

Are you interested in paralegal stuff?

That’s the other thing. There aren’t any call centers near me
They’re all in Philly
So I would have to relocate to move up the ladder

I think litigation could be interesting

That would be in several years. It takes time to become a manager. Maybe you will feel different in several years.

Maybe… but I would still have to relocate and thats not my intention
