Thinking of buying a van and going travelling

I’m thinking of getting a intense driving course when corona restrictions are lifted. Buying a van and going travelling over Europe. Any ideas or tips?

That sounds brilliant, you should do it.

I toyed with the idea of travelling around Europe but on coaches, There is a coach company that you can buy a month travel pass and it takes you to all the major cities in Europe. I read you can live comfortable on £80 a day travelling expenses for one person. I can only leave England for 28 days at a time as need to be back for depot injection.

I have decided for next June to spend 28 days travelling around Romania and Poland, possible Ukraine, eastern Europe is much cheaper than western Europe. Considering I’m going to Italy on a package Holiday in May next year I will need value for money for other holidays.

Just be safe if you decide to do it. And take your meds with you. :sunny:

There is inter railing too if you are into that type of thing. I would prefer a van though. I nearly did it with a friend a few years ago, we didn’t do it in the end though.

what kind of van do you want? a camper? I have thought about touring Europe as well

I’m just going to buy quite an expensive small van and put matress in back. And convert it.

I drove all across America in my car a few years back. It was a great adventure, but I did nearly die a few times. I don’t regret it, though. I learned a lot about different parts of the world.

sounds like a nice project to focus on too,

I think I’d maybe start in Scandinavia, it seems like a really friendly place (well safer anyway) idk why, it could be a bit colder though, but i’d also like to go to Italy or France

I think I’d start off in France. Ferry is cheap from U.K.
