I would like to visit Saint Petersburg, Russia, I was there when it was Leningrad, the USSR, now the capitalism has changed everything, would like to visit the city. I am not living very far from the city, it is just on another side of the border … maybe I visit there again.

I have never been in Madrid, I have been in Barcelona, Costa Del Sol, Gibraltar, Sevilla and a few other places … that was when I was young.

Odessa would be nice, when I studied Russian in my early teens we also studied the map of the USSR and I always dreamed about traveling to Odessa and the Crimean peninsula. Maybe one day …

I have visited New York City three times, in 2000 I lived one week in my auto in the city, it is a massive and highly populated city, I personally like more quiet and peaceful places …

Yep, Ireland could be a nice place to visit, but where I am currently in eastern Finland it is quiet and peaceful, I live next to a highly (cars driving) traveled road and all this driving stops at 10 PM (almost no cars after that), so it is quiet and peaceful :wink:

I have been once in Italy, Rome and northern parts, I liked Venice a lot, all those historical buildings and water … it just was nice.

@shellys12 a friend was telling me about coach tours to Europe which are geared for single travellers. You stay in your own room in a hotel each night. There are tours round the cities.

Southern France is great, I traveled there with my former American wife in 1999, Marseilles, Bordeaux and the Pyrenees mountains, there are many old buildings, villages to see, I like it, here is one nice fortress, Carcassonne … I bought a clay skull there and I still have it with me on my table …
