They said there’s a couple of new variants out that I haven’t heard of that the shots don’t work on. Does anyone know about this?

The shots were designed for original covid. They are not designed to prevent spread of the new variants. Thankfully they still do a great job of preventing most from getting seriously (as in hospitalized type) ill when they do catch the wretched bug.

I’m lucky I have never been sick with Covid or tested positive. A guess being a loner in an apartment by myself has it’s advantages.

We have very high rates of covid here in California with the B5 variant being the predominant variant. I stay at home most of the time and wear a high quality mask anytime I’m around other people.

I’ve never been clear if wearing a mask will protect yourself from Covid. I just heard it keeps you from spreading it to others. I’m always wearing a mask KN95’s.

I’m masking in stores again if they are air conditioned. It’s the hot time of year. I won’t go in stores where it’s too hot for a mask.

I have worn a mask in public indoor spaces since the start of the pandemic without fail. The only exception has been at the dentist, for obvious reasons.

We have way more infections and we just hit it and we just went to local shops. Still. They don’t mandate masks and we are using them. Bit late now but it may have made a difference. Wasn’t much fun having covid but we did ok. It wasn’t a bad strain…or the vaccines and booster did their work. I basically had a bad head cold for a week. Biggest problem was lack of sleep.

When I go out, I am like the only person wearing a mask still most of time. I guess a lot of people have moved on here.

Somehow, me and my parents have not had Covid-19 since this all kicked off

We followed the guidance by officials here

Might get it one day, but avoided it so far

It killed my step sisters mother as she had COPD and never fully recovered from the damage of being on a ventilator for weeks
