Feeling unwanted because I had a sister just 20 months older than me. I came way to soon.
Me and my sis are 11 months difference. So for one month we twins!
The fact you had a sister close in age to you made you feel unwanted?

Maybe they wanted a sibling for company for the other sibling :))
Because babies are a lot of work and a lot of worry. Mother even told me I was unplanned and that she didn’t want to have me.

Most of my kids are 21-24 months apart. Except for 1 and 2, they are 8 years apart.
I felt unwanted cos I remind my mum of her. And she doesn’t like herself.
It adds pressure on me to be perfect so that I don’t fall into things that she has as habits in particular obesity, eating junk food. I can tell it severely affects her and same with me, the darn junk food
I know it’s “Like mother, like daughter.” with me, too. Sometimes it’s a good thing, sometimes, not.

Mother had an interest in reading. She read all the time. It kept her from getting into trouble. I am just getting back into reading myself. My sister was a book worm. She says she wouldn’t know what to do if she didn’t have a book she was reading. It’s a nice habit and gives one things to talk about. Mother was also neat and tidy.
