Yes I posted about it, the FDA and Health Canada have warnings about Abilify and Rexulti causing compulsive/impulsive behavior and hypersexuality. I had these side effects and stopped Abilify.

Now I dont have these side effects anymore on Risperdal.

And, im not sure if that affected the drug, but there is a major price drop.

Sexual addiction was the worst. Its nasty and addictive. I had a hardtime believing that it was the Abilify. Took me 8 years to realize it, from 2011 to 2019.

But i think ive asked you if on low dose it give compulsive/impulsive behavior, you said yes right? Lets say 5 or 10 mg, i believe you were on 20mg?

I told my psychiatrist, the 4th and latest one, and he said yes its possible. The first psychiatrist who put me on Abilify asked me if I developped hypersexuality but I was shy and felt guilty/ashamed of talking about it. Anyways my latest psychiatrist stopped my Abilify and put me on Latuda at the time. Later I switched to Risperdal.

I need to find someone who is on 5-10mg of Abilify, and have euphoria symptoms. That is my question.

I think some users here are on 5-10mg Abilify as an add on ap to reduce prolactine.

Thats what my psychiatrist said that even low doses can have these side effects. Are you scared of these side effects bcz you had them on Abilify? Yes, I was on 20mg for 8 years.

I dont have problem with prolactin, except when i tried Risperidone and Invega for a month, then came back with Olanzapine, cause of that. My problem now is blood sugar and cholesterol, my doctor says she agreed to change meds to Abilify from Olanzapine, but this pandemic has to be clear out, she is working from home and said they have to monitor me every week.

Oh so you were never on Abilify or Rexulti?

Nope, never been on Abilify or Rexulti, the reason is i need to wake up early for a job later, can’t sit on my fat ass like this forever.

I think you shouldnt fear these rare side effects then but just keep an eye on them.

Oh if you want a similar med to Abilify and Rexulti you can try Vraylar. It doesnt have these nasty addiction side effects. I have high hopes for Vraylar, I am waiting for it to be released here in Canada.

Vraylar is a partial dopamine agonist like Abilify and Rexulti.

Have you heard any news about Vraylar unti’ll now? A release date for Canada?

No nothing yet, I have a link to the canadian government website about new approved meds. I keep checking for these two words Cariprazine/Vraylar but nothing yet :slightly_frowning_face:

Alright, ill keep an eye too.
