I’ve been seeing the same therapist for about seven-eight months now,
I love her, she’s great at her job and super reliable.
However,
She moved away a couple months ago and we started doing skype sessions.
They’ve also been going great.
But two weeks ago she missed one of our sessions,
We texted later that night, she apologized and said it was a scheduling error,
We rescheduled for the next week.
She no call, no showed again and still hasn’t contacted me a week after.
I’m confused.
Would you try to sort this out or find a new therapist?

I’d ask her what happened and give her one more chance to Skype.

I’d give her a chance to explain things first.

My answer is a bit different than others.
I would try to contact her up to 3 times. If she makes no effeort to contact you after that then hire a new one.
Things happen to disrupt schedules. That is understandable. After that, we just need to move on with our own plans to get well.

That happened to me once. A therapist started cancelling on me over and over again. Eventually I got the message she didn’t want to work with me anymore and I left. She never even responded to my email telling her I was terminating with her. It’s an extremely unprofessional way to dump someone.
