is the up and coming generations are eager to outperform the ones who came before them. athletes are kinda famous while they are still playing and then they are forgotten after they retire. in a way it’s poetic justice for being so ruthlessly competitive.

My first cousins have a first cousin who is a pro hockey player for the Canuks. Brett Hedican. He’s married to Krissy Omaguchi. I missed meeting them at my aunt’s Thanksgiving dinner but my mom said they are nice as hell.

Nobody will ever break Barry bonds 73 home run season ! Or wilt chamberlains 100 point game ! I don’t think any baseball player will ever hit 400 batting average again either. Barry was my favorite growing up in sf I know he was cheating but so was everyone but it’s just not happening ! Wilt was not playing against the talent they have today nobody will ever score 100! Those are two I could think of! Nobody is beating joe DiMaggio’s 56 game hitting streak either. There are a lot of legends in sports ! But yea like the stuff Lebron James is doing is insane !

My knowledge of most sports can be summed up with a sentence from a video I once saw: “I love baseball! When Lebron scores them touchdowns!”
I do follow a football (or “soccer”) team, but it’s hard to support them when they have been making the same goddamn mistakes for the past two years every. Damn. Game.
